I have my home page built with Elementor and it worked fine. I tried to copy a section and it looks all good in Elementor, but then it’s displaying something else that looks like raw text on the actual page. How do I fix this?

Sure. For instance the homepage of annaeverywhere.com . I changed some photos and tried to copy the section of destinations but nothing shows up.
Can you try flushing and disabling the autoptimize and then trying to make those changes again?

Awesome – as a rule i always leave autoptimize or any cache plugins disabled when working on a site especially if it is a pagebuilder. Just activate it when you finished making changes.
