Is there a simple way to make a sticky post that is category specific

I want to have a sticky post at the top of each category. I found a plugin that looks like it would do what I want - Category Sticky Post - but it doesn't seem to be maintained. Any alternative suggestions?

I can't find anything else either.
Give that plugin a shot and see if it works well?
WordPress post loop really hasn't changed at all over the years so I'd assume the plugin should still work...
It works! Tested with WP 5.2
