improvements in categories

Hi,
Things like customize the header, control the type of layout (list, mansory, etc) other than the blog, a specific sidebar .. I think that would serve to win many points as essential addon.

There is a way to set sidebars, masonry etc.. for categories using filters, but it's true there's no Customizer settings for those yet.
The Blog Layout option in "Customize > Layout" includes categories.
The Masonry layout in the Blog add-on includes categories as well.
For specific widgets, a plugin like this is probably best: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/display-widgets/
I think one option would be to eliminate the loop and use a visual layout designer in the description of the category ... I estimate it.
