Imagesize in Volume Site

Hi there,

the image sizes being used in Volume are 2400 x 1600 pixels.
So 1200 x 800 would work for example. You would just notice a reduction in quality on the larger screens.

so if i use 1200 x 800 then they get stretched to full screen?

Is it possible to make the images not so tall, so that they not cover the whole screen?

And do every post and page need such an image? or it is possible, to publish a post without such an image?

You can reduce the height that the hero images are displayed by editing the Post Header in Appearance > Elements and reducing the Top Padding % to a smaller number
