Image dimensions?

Are there 'ideal' image dimensions for upload to the WordPress Media Library for use with GeneratePress pages and posts?

The simple answer is not really.
Just make sure the width of your images isn't too much bigger than the container width.
And make sure it's optimized using a service like this: https://imagecompressor.com/

What's the advantage to using the WordPress Media Library with GeneratePress? Media Library appears to resize inserted images as it sees fit. It quickly boggled my brain. In the past I've kept my images in an Images Folder and sized them as necessary.
I guess the main advantage would be the ability to view/manage your media items within the library.
If that's not necessary, using your own folder works great as well.
