I need to add a slider to the background

I need to add a background slider to the homepage, and have text/elements lay on top of it in a text box. How does one go about setting that up in a section?
It's best if you can find a slider plugin that allows you to set a slider as the background, as it's not a super easy thing to achieve.
What slider are you using?
