I Know This Isn't A Theme Question BUT....

I understand this is not a theme question but I am hoping somebody can help me anyways as it is a Wordpress question.
Ok so I have my settings set as a static page, and I created a post titled blog which is a menu item. However when I click on the drop down menu in settings/reading for posts all of my pages show up but I don't have Blog to select. It seems everything looks good. Is this something you would be able to help with?

is the page titled Blog been published ?
Yes I have published it. But still Blog which is the title of the post does not show up in the drop down list. I have google this before I came to ask but can't seem to find an answer why Blog does not show up in the list for me to select.
Is it a Post or a Page ?
