I have a phantom first page.

When I click the home button the right page shows up. It was a post page originally. it's deleted but it's still there. I emptied cache on chrome/ history. I deleted the menu and got a new one. ?
Do you have a suggestion?

Hi, I just changed my home page in home page settings, it fixed it but it is still there somewhere. Hopefully it will not weight the site down.

Hi there,
By default WordPress displays your Posts on the Home Page ( Front Page ). That is until you assign the static page as it sounds like you have.
Don't worry about the original posts page you saw, its a server side function that creates that page, so its not like an ordinary static page or post and won't take up any space or slow your site down.
