Before logging in, the password protected pages say “This content is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:”. I want to change it to say something like “This content is password protected. To view this content please enter the password below. If you don’t know the password, please contact me so I can email it to you.”
Where/how do I change the wording?

Just to clarify: You know how you can choose for a page to be public, private, or password protected? I chose password protected (I don’t have a separate “password page” per se).
The plugin might be the best method. The alternative would require you to adjust some PHP.
Let me know if it doesn’t do the trick 🙂
