I can't set a post as my homepage

Hello! :-)
I am unable to set a post as my static home page. Under custumisation, there is the option to either set a page or a post. Unfortunately, both have a list of my pages only. The static page I want is a post, but it's not available to choose.
Please, can you help?

Hi there,
it's one of the few things that is really tricky to do.
If you will be using the same Single Post then one solution is this plugin:
https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/page-links-to/
You can then link your static home page to the post you want to be displayed.

How strange. I was able to have the post as a homepage in Astra (terrible support there!).
Okay, I think I'll convert the post to a page in that case.

That is strange - its more a WP thing then a theme thing :)
