Is there a way to enable html in Post Excerpts?
thx!
Hi there,
This should help:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-more-tag/
Thx, I know about that... but I wanted to know if I could assign bold or italics to words in the excerpt.
Like specific words or the entire excerpts?
Specific words.. using an excerpt in Post gallery and the client wants to sometimes italic or bold a word here and there... (I know css can change the whole except.)
I've seen some themes allow it and others don't... I even tried a few plugins (like Advanced Post Excerpt and Advanced Excerpt) that claim to allow full HTML for excerpts but so far nothing seems to work. It could be Elementor but I suspect GP?
THX
Maybe this plugin will help?: https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-excerpt/
Thx but like I wrote, I tried it and the formatting doesn't appear on site.
It could be Elementor but I don't see why their widgets would strip it out.
(I tried some other 3rd party post grids too, same.)
Btw, this is not time critical in short run, but eventually would like the option since the client asked for it.
THX!
Ah, sorry! Missed that.
I assume you configured the plugin to allow those certain HTML elements you want in the excerpt? It's a popular plugin that's regularly updated, so I assume it works.
No worries, it could be my plugs... I just thought I'd ask GP masters after trying a few things.
I'll try things on a simple test site.
Thx!
