Hi, I can see that in the system fonts there is Helvetica, Arial, Times New Roman, and Georgia available. But among the system fonts, I like Verdana, and I want to use that from the customizer. So how to use Verdana as system stack fonts also why Verdana is not on the list? Thanks

Hi Pintu,
With the current version of GeneratePress where Verdana isn’t on the list, you can add it simply as such: https://share.getcloudapp.com/OAu6OGl1
Specifically, leave the “Search fonts…” blank and put Verdana in the Font family name.
If the device used has this System font, through the Typography Manger, the font used by a specific element will be Verdana.

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you’ll need further assistance. 🙂

Hi Fernando, it did work! But ‘If the device used a has this System font, through the Typography Manger, the font used by a specific element will be Verdana” I did not understand this fully, can you elaborate. Thanks

If the Device has Verdana, the rendered font, if set, will be Verdana. Otherwise, it will select a different font from the System Stack.
For instance: https://share.getcloudapp.com/nOuRp9dk
Here is a more in-depth explanation by David: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/system-fonts-2/#post-1746966
Moreover, for example: https://web.mit.edu/jmorzins/www/fonts.html#:~:text=Fonts%20that%20work%20on%20Windows%20and%20MacOS%20but%20not%20Unix%2BX%20are%3A
Based on the link above, Unix devices don’t have Verdana, and in turn, will load a different font.
Based on this 2017 thread (not sure how it is now), Verdana seems unavailable as a system font on android devices as well.
Hope this clarifies. 🙂
