How to use the feature image, but not have it take over the element?

Hello,
I've added the feature image to my post, but now the element on the post page includes the feature image which I do not want.
I want to keep the element background the same on al posts, pages, etc

Hi there,
You need to create a header element solid color or custom image as the background image option:

I already have a page hero, but the feature image is overriding it on the post.
The featured image should only displayed as the background if you have a page hero assigned to it with Featured image as the background image option.
If you don't want to use the featured image as the background, then you need to create a page hero with either custom image or solid color as the background and assign it to posts.
