how to update generatepress

Hi,
In my Dashboard/Updates, I notice a new version of the GP PREMIUM plugin (from version 1.8.2 to version 1.8.3) and a new version of the generatepress theme (from version 2.2.2 to version 2.3.2).
I wouldn't want to combine disasters and therefore wanted to understand what I need to update first: the plugin or the theme?
