How to style default sidebar text widget button

Hi guys,

OK, I give up. I got the blog sidebar cleaned up in Customizer very easily. Thank you, GP.

Now trying to style the Text + Button item in the right sidebar on this page:https://new.mygoforthegreen.com/blog/

How do I do change button colour and text? Nothing I've tried works.

I can put a SiteOrigins custom button in there (orange one), but can't get text to go just below it, as in the default one in the sidebar. Doesn't look as "together".

Can you please direct me to a place that explains this. Searching the forum didn't yield an answer.

Thanks for your help,

Linda

Hi Leo,

Thanks for your reply.

No, I hadn't seen that document, but have now read it.

It reminded me that I could style your Button in Customizer, which I did. Then I simply added my text in place of the default, created a link to the correct site page and deleted all the <a ref... text. Ta da! It worked ... and I didn't need to touch any CSS.

Thanks for the redirection. I was getting myself all tangled up!

Awesome!!

Yup CSS is not required unless you want specific styles for certain buttons :)

Got it ... and I think I'll be brave enough to try it after reading the document you provided!

Enjoy your weekend,

Linda

You as well!
