How to show except and featured image

Is there a way to show the except and featured image for each post in a category?
Ideally I would do this in the category page but if not then in any page.
Hi Nicole,
Not sure if I fully understand.
Any chance you can link us to the page in question and provide a little more info?
You can use the private information field:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information
Let me know :)
I don’t actually have an example yet.
I want to create a list of posts in a category. For each post, I want to include 3 fields:
Title, excerpt and featured image.
I would like to use the category function to do this so that when I go to a category I see all the posts in that category with a title, excerpt and featured image for each post.
How do I control what appears on a category page and the layout of the page?
Hi there,
by default GP and WP will display that content in the archive loop, so you should see that when visiting any category on your site.
If you're not setting that, can i see a link to the archive ?
I am not seeing that.
I see the full posts in that category. Do I need to turn something on?
I have inserted a link to one of the categories.
Thanks!
Can you make sure the Content type is set to Except here?

Let me know :)
That solved the problem.
1) Is there an option to put more posts on one page instead of having to go to the next page?
2) Is there a way to insert text into the category page. A short intro for each category page? Maybe with blocks or something?
Hi Nicole,
1. You can change the number of posts that appear on each page of a Blog or an Archive through changing to "Blog pages show at most" value in Settings > Reading.
2. Yes, there's a way. You can use a Block Element. Examples:

Thank you!
You're welcome Nicole!
