How to setup an attachement page?

Dear GeneratePress Team,
The post at https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/template-for-attachments-image/#post-992414 explains how to add an attachment page. However, it seems like there's something missing. When embedding some pictures in a post, setting their links to "attachment page", visiting the page and hovering the mouse over a picture, it displays a link like:
htttps://domain.com/[post-slug]/[attachement-slug]/#main
Which looks ok. However, when clicking the picture its opening the post, not the attachment page. I.e. https://domain.com/%5Bpost-slug%5D/ instead of htttps://domain.com/[post-slug]/[attachement-slug]/
Do you have any ideas what could be wrong here? Or how to fix ti?

Hi there,
can you temporarily disable all other plugins aside from GP Premium to check for a plugin conflict as it looks to me as the link is being redirected.

Just for the records:
The problem was caused by SEOPress. More specifically the setting Advanced -> Image SEO -> Redirect attachment pages to post parent
Disabling it fixed the issue.
