How to remove widgets on header above Logo?

Hi! I'm trying to remove the widgets on top of my logo, and I've tried customize_widgets_header but nothing shows up under header, and when I add a widget all the existing widget would show up but nothing happens when I click on the remove button.
Please help. Thanks
I've seen this on one of Tom's reply, and worked.
Ah yea – looks like WordPress decided to place all of the widgets from your last theme’s sidebar into the header widget area.
Simply go to “Appearance > Widgets” and remove those widgets from the “Header” widget area.
