How to make slideout navigation display?
3 replies · Started by jasper on September 18, 2018
I am trying to create a slide-out navigation menu that is a shortcut to selected pages. "I need help with..."
I followed the instructions here - https://docs.generatepress.com/article/activating-slide-out-navigation/
Have created a menu and assigned it "slideout menu, " but I can't get it to show up anywhere.
When I use GP Menus Plus, it automatically places the slideout menu in the menu bar. Unfortunately, I'm using Max Mega Menu Pro because I need the features it offers.
I have room to place the menu above the header. I've tried to place it in a widget, but this displays all the menu items.
Are there some alternative ways to place a slideout navigation menu? I am open to ideas. Thanks.
Hi there,
this topic explains how you can add the slideout toggle elsewhere.

What i am not sure of, is if the slide out will activate in the absence of the GP nav. let me know.
Thanks for the quick reply. That was so simple! It works in elements, posts, widgets - everywhere but on the menu bar itself. Max Mega Menu Pro has a way to add HTML or a widget to the menu, but there is a conflict with putting a nav menu inside another nav menu.
However, I can use it as a widget and it probably accomplishes the same thing. I was running out of space anyway.
Thanks!
Well i am glad i could offer a few solutions.
