how to make gutenberg blocks same width as GP hero

I like a margin on either side of the Hero section, so in Elements, I have set the Container to "Contained", and Inner Container to "Contained".
In the Customizer, I have set my container width to 1100px.
I have found though that when I add content to gutenberg blocks, the content does not align with the hero, but is full width.
How can I get gutenberg blocks to the same width as my GP container/hero width?
