how to install child theme

Hi,
Usually when I buy a theme, I've got the child theme in my files. I do all my customization in my child theme to avoid any buf when I update the theme. But with GeneratePress there is no child theme included.
Is it normal? Won't I have any trouble when I update the theme? I dont want to loose all my customization.

You can install a child theme if you'll be adding custom page templates and other custom code: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/how-to-install-a-child-theme/#post-198913
However, it's not necessary if all of your customization will be done in the the Customizer - you won't lose those settings when you update :)
