How to disable GP builder and use Beaver Builder
8 replies · Started by Kevin on August 15, 2019
Hello,
I have GP theme installed on my wordpress and I also added Beaver Builder. I noticed some threads did mention “section tool” to disable GP builder to allow me to use Beaver Builder as total page designer. Most of comments mentioned “I found the issue and solve it”, but didn’t explain where I can find them on my wordpress option.
Can you give me step by step to find them and allow me to use Beaver Builder?
Thank you,
Kevin
Hi there,
If you don't want to use Sections at all, you can deactivate the module:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/installing-gp-premium/#activate-your-modules
Let me know if this helps :)
Got it, do I deactivate section only or all of listed under GP Premium list included background, blog, color, etc?
Also, thank you for quick reply as well. :)
My goal for this project is use Beaver Builder as primary design for my webpages.
You should disable Sections only in that list (unless you're not using the other modules).
I did able to activate all modules except section but beaver builder still show header, side and footer from GP premium.
How may I set beaver builder to able take over all area or can I disable header, side and footer through GP premium?
Hi there,
couple of options:
1. Layout Metabox:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-metabox-overview/
You can disable all elements and set the pagebuilder container to full width on a page by page basis from the WP post editor.
2. Layout Element:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/
Same as the metabox other then you can use Display Rules to apply these settings eg. Entire Site, All Pages or more specific pages.
Many thanks with inputs. I was able to disabled the header, side and footer with no further issue. :)
