How to delete image in navigation bar
5 replies · Started by Leon on November 4, 2019
Hello,
On the left side of my navigation I have a small image which I want to delete, leaving just the blue of the bar.
I inserted the image via the Customizer when I first set up the site but I think the controls to change it have now disappeared.
Tried:
Refreshing, clearing cache on browser AND website (turned off caching plugin).
Deleting image from Media. Surprised that didn't get rid of it.
Deleting the image with CSS Hero - got a clue here: ".main-navigation .navigation-logo img }"
Looking for it with WP DB Cleaner
Looking for it with FileZilla Pro
Any ideas on how I might solve this please?
Thank you.
Hi there,
Did you upload it in Customize > Background Images?
If so, try uploading a new image in that location, then delete it. That should remove it for you.
Let me know :)
Thanks for your response Tom.
That didn't work because the images went to different places.
I recall that the image insert control was there in Customizer when I first installed GP. Then when I got as far as installing the 'child theme', or perhaps before, the ability to alter the image was removed.
Do you see a navigation logo option in Customizer > Layout > Primary navigation?
Let me know :)
That's where it was hiding Leo!
Well done and thanks for the help.
(I uploaded a new one (it was blank), published, then clicked remove, and published.)
No problem :)
