How to create a landing page with a full page width

Hi there,
I'm trying to build a full width landing page and it doesn't seem to be working.
Even if I set the width to full page width without a sidebar it doesn't seem to extend across the full page.
What i'd like to do is create a landing page with no sidebars with content down the middle.
How can I do this?

1. Create a new page and set its Content Container to Full Width:

2. Build the page out using the GenerateBlocks plugin and its Container Block:

That will allow you define inner container widths, padding, margins and backgrounds for various sections of the page.
