How to change the logo in the Marketer Site theme?

I'm using GP Premium and selected the Marketer site from the premade designs you can select from. But there is an M in the top left of the screen that I can't figure out how to remove or replace with my own logo. I've went to apprearance->customize->site identify-> and then uploaded a 350x70 logo, but after saving, the logo on the website hasn't changed and the M is still there.
Does anyone know how to do this?

Yes thank you. What file type would be best png or jpg? And is it okay to use a transparent logo background?
Also, what is the ideal size? it doesn't seem like 350x70 is ideal for this location.
png and jps should both work and transparent logo should be fine as well.
There isn't really an ideal size. It really depends on what you like.
