You are a living legend Fernando!!!
I placed that script on the staging site.
The links that were not meant to be “nofollow” no longer have the attribute “nofollow” on the archive pages and the posts that are meant to be nofollow still do.Happy Days Fernando!!
So now shall I add the new script to the live site?

Yes, that code should be good to transfer to the Live Site.

Hi Fernando
I’ve been going through my site audit on AHREFS and noticed that some of my posts that shouldn’t be nofollow have the checkbox automatically marked for post meta in the back end of wordpress.
What I noticed is that when I went to create a new draft post with the default value checked in the Field Group, the Post Meta ACF field in the draft post was automatically checked.
For some reason it also automatically checked in other posts as well.
Am I right to uncheck the default value and that should fix the issue?
I’ve unchecked the default value in the Field Group in ACF – I’ve sent a screenshot.Cheers Jodie

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
i am not sure on the full issue here, but my understanding of ACF fields are: they get saved in the posts meta. And this includes any default field values.
So if you change a fields default value then it will apply to any New Post. But for posts that were saved before that change, will need to be edited and the fields updated.February 5, 2023 at 3:04 am #2521919Jodie
Thanks so much for your reply David.
So with the very appreciated help from Fernando, I created a Post Meta ACF Field.
I only want to check the ACF Post Meta in certain posts of which I’ve been doing in recent days. What I noticed was that when the default value was enabled in the Field Group, some posts I didn’t want to have the ACF field checked were checked.
So I went in and unchecked the default value in the Field Group Settings, hoping that might help the issue I was having with some posts having the ACF field checked when I didn’t want that.
I am understanding correctly that since I’ve added this ACF Post Meta, I should double check all posts previously published, that I don’t want to have it applied don’t have this Post Meta checked in the backend of the WordPress post?
As always I really appreciate your help.
Cheers Jodie

Thats correct.

Thanks David for confirming that.
And if I leave the “Default value” as unchecked in the ACF Field Group that’s ok?

Yes, that should be okay. I believe it will return false or null by default.
