How to apply an image slider on home page header?

I am trying to apply an image slider on the home page header and this is what happens. Please tell me what I am doing wrong...
Element Hook:
This work just fine, the problem is that it gets rid of my logo within the header when I apply it to the header and check disable header BUT when I don't disable header I have an empty white space on the top with my logo in it.
Element Header:
This is pretty bad but at least the logo is visible. Once I create a new header with my shortcode slider it break the height of my header and the slider isn't clickable.
Please advise

Hello Leo, I did this css and it works but there has to be an easier way...

.header-image {z-index:9999;position:absolute;top:10px;left:10px;}
Hard for me to provide advice without seeing your site or understanding exactly what you are trying to do.
