how to access wp-config file from dashboard

Is there a way to access the wp-config.php file and make changes from the dashboard - or do I need to go into the hosting file manager to make changes? I need to add define( 'GENERATE_HOOKS_DISALLOW_PHP', true ); under DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT. I cannot find access in the dashboard. This is happening on a number of my sites. The one below is just one of them.
Hi there,
you would need to use FTP or whatever file editing access your hosts server panel provides to be able to edit the wp-config.php
