How do I change the single post template to contained

Sorry if this has been answered, but I couldn't find it. I have a contained site, that has been set in the customizer, but I can't get the single post content to match. It seems to default at full width outside my container. And, it doesn't change no matter what I set the page builder container to. Any ideas?
