How do I add sidebar widgets when using GP Sections?

I'm trying to add the sidebar widgets to the blog page. I imported the theme from site library but want to modify it a little.

If I click add sections and add them I am unable to view the sidebar widgets. I even selected content with sidebar still

Hi there,

Sections expand the full width of the screen so sidebars are disabled on pages with Sections. you can add them using the filter provided here:
