I tried looking through the forums for help but could not find anything on this.
In your 3 minute Generate press video you add an image using the element blocks? and then you write a site title right over the image. But I'm sure there is a way of adding one without using blocks, like this website here https://www.salsarepublic.com.au/ they have an image of dancers under the logo and above the body content, but the site title is written right over the image, how can I achieve this with GP? I have the premium version of GP. thank you

I never said I didn't want to use it, I was basically asking what is the best way to add that image how I asked? as I don't have access to that website anymore, https://www.salsarepublic.com.au/
so I cannot check how I did it the first time. Could you please tell me the best way to put an image like that?

Hi Jason,

But I’m sure there is a way of adding one without using blocks

Since you were asking how to do it without using blocks, David would assume that you don't want to use block elements, that's why he recommended to use Header elements.

I would say Block elements + Generateblocks plugin is the best shot for this, and for your future design as well. Here's a video that demonstrate what block elements can do, the page hero one should be what you are looking for:

Plus if you use Generateblocks plugin as block editor, you could also add a shape to the page hero like the example site you linked.

If you don't want to use block elements, this is how you create a page hero with header elements:

And here're some page hero examples for your reference.

Ok, I was thinking that plugin was something else I needed to pay for? that was the only reason I said that. Also I remember doing this years ago without using that plugin, thanks for your help, I will look at those links.

Plugin is something make things easier most of the time :)

Generateblocks is free and powerful, it has its pro version, but for your project I don't think it's needed.
