We custom coded those columns using Flexbox: https://css-tricks.com/snippets/css/a-guide-to-flexbox/

Alternatively, you can use a plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/gridable/

Gutenberg (the new WordPress editor) should have columns built into core soon.
