How can I remove the published date from blog posts?
I dont mean hide them with CSS, but actually remove the published date.
TIA
Hi there,
This should help:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/blog-content-layout/#single
Thanks !
No problem :)
Hi Leo,
Tagging onto this thread since I found it when searching the forum for how to remove post dates. The linked document gave me the answer: I'd missed the toggle to move between Archive and Single.
So, on the site, all is well. The only glitch is that the date still appears in the URL for the post. Is there a theme-based way to remove this as well? Or is this something more to do with WordPress?
Thanks for any advice!
Linda
Hi there,
if you go to Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks you can adjust the permalink structure to remove the date.
Thanks, David. Hadn't thought of the permalink. Such a delightfully simple solution. :-)
Gratefully,
Linda
Glad we could be of help.
Me, too. And you always are!! Have a relaxing weekend and thanks again.
