Hosting Cloudflare Foundation Icons Locally / Cutting connection to cloudflare
5 replies · Started by Stefan on October 22, 2019
Hi everybody,
I am looking for some help to resolve the following challenge ;)
Due to GDPR reasons, I want my site to not connect to a CDN like Cloudflare.
However, our chosen Generate Press theme (datatoolbox.de) appears to load "foundation icons" from Cloudflare.
href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/foundicons/3.0.0/foundation-icons.css?ver=2.2.5.3"
So I considered to cut the connection to the CDN.
First option would be to remove the icons, which does not appeal to me.
Second option would be to host the icons on the webspace.
Since I am not a CSS / Webdeveloper specialist myself, I really would appreciate some help.
Many thanks in advance.
Greets, Stefan
Hi there,
the Foundation Icons are being loaded by Beaver Builder, i see they have some articles on serving Font Awesome locally but not Foundation Icons.
I would recommend you ask the Beaver Builder support if they can assist, as they will have the function to dequeue the CDN request and help with the local setup.
Let us know if you get stuck.
Hi David,
many thanks for the quick response.
That sounds logical.
Cheers
Stefan
