Horizontal category list

Hi,
I wonder if it is possible to have a horizontal list of all categories with their images.
The image below best describes how I would like it to look like.
The image shows a list of posts but I want it to show categories.
I'd like to use it in a section below the header on my homepage.
I also use WP Show Posts.

Nothing built-in or any plugins that will help with this unfortunately.
You will have to custom code it with some HTML and CSS.
If this is to be added within page content, then Gutenberg columns and images blocks might help.
