Hooks after Page Header

Hi,
Is their any way to use the new Elements Hooks feature to insert content straight after the header when using a page hero thats merged with the site header?. When I try to do this using the after_header hook the inserted content is displayed right at the top of the site on top of the header, not below the page hero.

I've also tried the before_content hook but this places the content inside the grid-container div, I want it inserted before that div.
