Luca
Hello,
I’m restyling this site:
http://www.casabuonarroti.itI’m using the latest version of GeneratePress Premium (1.7.8) on a staging site:
Your website URL (only admins can see) ( Password: L@bCultF0ndCR )I installed yoast and I activated Bradcrumbs, which work perfectly.
I decided to change the structure of some items in the old menu.
I created a main category:
Attività
and a series of sub-categories:
Mostre
Convegni
ConcertiThe first item in the menu is a single article in the main category, which is called Attività (like the category it belongs to).
Obviously, when you click on the main menu item, the result is the list of all the articles belonging to that category, including those of the sub-categories.
I spent an entire afternoon looking for a solution (including plugins) without success.
How can I make only that single article (Attività) and its content, appear?
Thanks in advance for the help you can give me.
Luca

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Not quite sure if I understand.
So you don’t want the submenu below Attività?
If so maybe just use a custom link for the menu item that links to that page?

I will try to explain better what I need.
The menu structure is fine as it is now.The main item:
Attivitàand all subheadings:
Mostre
Convegni
ConcertiWhen I click on the main item (Attività), article with the same title of the category. I see the article Attività (with its content), but immediately below, also all the articles belonging to the various sub-categories that are part of the category “Attività”.
I would like to know if it’s possible, when I click on the main item Attività, to leave visible only the article related to that category.

StaffCustomer SupportAhh those pages are actually automatically generated by WordPress and GP doesn’t control them.
I found this through Google that might help:
https://gist.github.com/CodeProKid/1d21fb7635141491c7c1facd5e99d1adYou can see lots of different solutions by Googling “Exclude child categories from a category archive page”
Let me know if this helps 🙂
