Hi,
I have downloaded meta slider to my GP site using GP Hooks and it works great.
But Iis there anyway I can have this meta slider showing ONLY on my homepage?
I have page headers I want to show on the other subpages.
Thanks in advanced
Hi there,
You can use a Hook element in our Elements module: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/hooks-element-overview/
This allows you to target specific pages in the Display Rules tab.
So I've created a hook and added the code into but it's still doesn't work.
Could it be because it's not allowing me to click the "execute PHP" button.
I'm getting a message that says "Unable to execute PHP as DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT is defined."
Any help would be appreciated
Hi there,
this document covers the disallow PHP editing.
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/disallow-php-execution/
Meta Slider provides a Short Code add that and check the Execute shortcode option.
Not sure, what I'm doing wrong. Adding the shortcode, check the execute option, add the pages I want it showing on.
Is there something I'm missing?
Have you set the Display Rules in the Hook Element?
yep.
-So I'm adding the shortcode [metaslider id="713"]
-Check execute shortcode box
-set the display rules.
Which hook are you using and which display rules?
after_header
and I've used for my home page for display rules
But I've changed it around and mixed and matched as well with different ones to see if that was the issue.
Can you try setting it to the Front Page in display rules.
yeh nothing...
What happens if you add just some HTML or text to the hook, without checking the shortcode box.
Oh it's working. I honestly don't know what I did differently... Thanks for your time though, I appreciate it.
odd... but glad you got it resolved :)
