Header shows post image instead of page hero image

I created a header element which should show on the "entire site". It does so except in the posts. There it shows the image I use as contributing image in the post... is there any possibility to show the header element instead of the post image?

Not sure if I fully understand.
Perhaps what you want is to create a separate header element for single posts and use the custom image option instead of the featured image option?

I created a Header which I would like to show on the entire site. The Display rule says show on entire site. So it should be displayed on every page/post. Isn't it?
Here is a post on which the header isn't shown correctly:

Do you have an idea, what I'm doing wrong?

Am I missing something here?
Isn't the image in the header different on the screenshots?
oh, I found the problem.. Changed from featured image to custom image.. now it always shows the same image in the header.
