Header Shifts to the Right/Left when Footer is Visible (viewport) Or Not

On desktop, when I click from the home page at https://HOWTORouteSwitch.com (where you can see the footer) to the Books menu (where you can't see the footer), you can see that the header shifts to the left. When you click back to the home page, the footer reappears on the viewport, and the header shifts to the right. Why is that?

I would like to eliminate this constant layout shifting. It's a little distracting and it looks that there's something misconfigured.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Rio

Hi there,

i am not seeing the issue. Is this on any particular browser or device ?

Hi David.

This is all on Desktop. I just tested on Chrome, Brave, and Safari and noticed the same problem. If you make the browser window high enough so the About and Contact pages show the footer, and then you click on either Books, Tools, or Fun, which longer pages, you should be able to see how the Logo on the top left slightly moves left or right.

Strange. I also tried on MS Edge and, since I have a Mac, on a Windows VM.

Must be something on my computer since it doesn't show on yours.

Thank you, David!

Could be some stuff stored locally on the computer, and on initial load the site is grabbing those before the browser completes the request.

But i checked another device and again it worked fine for me.

Glad to be of some help
