Shannon
I recently moved my site from a staging url to it’s permanent location. The security certificate is not fully working due to some http references back to the old site in my css it seems for background images. I’m not seeing where I can get rid of these.
Look at my site and do a search in source for “staging” and you’ll see there are 6 links.
Can you tell me how to get rid of these? It is not in my “Additional CSS” and I’m not seeing anything in background images either.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Looks like those are uploaded through the background images section in the customizer:https://docs.generatepress.com/article/backgrounds-overview/
Can you double check?
Let me know 🙂

I checked all the background sections and they are all blank.

StaffCustomer SupportHmm the code is definitely showing otherwise:
https://www.screencast.com/t/p7saXt6f9Can you make sure to clear all plugin cache if you are using one and the server cache as well?

This site has been moved. So I don’t know how the caching could be a problem? I did try a bunch of background images, but removed them. These seem to be them.

Oh wait…. it seems like it didn’t move that over… there is supposed to be an image and it’s missing. Why would it not show in Generate Press?

Not sure if I understand? GP doesn’t do anything special for you during site migration.
Maybe a plugin like this would help?

Well, it didn’t port over those images that I had set as background images. So, what I mean is they were “showing” in the css with the wrong URL (the one to the staging site url), but when I looked in the customize section for background images, nothing showed there to replace. So I had to reload them all in.
That did fix it, but I wasn’t expecting that to happen.

StaffCustomer SupportThat sort of depends on how you migrated the sites.
Usually a plugin like this works quite well:

My web host migrated it. So that might be why. Thanks! It’s all good now.

StaffCustomer SupportNo problem 🙂

That got rid of those ones…
But there are problems with http links on other pages in the source. Would your plugin help with that?

StaffCustomer SupportI believe it should but not 100% sure as it’s not our plugin.
Maybe check with their support?
