no, David Can I get something better than this .. it seems I'm getting drip fed support questions or can we be more proactive using my ability?

Can you tell me how to accomplish install via ftp or similar?

Via FTP you can upload the unzipped folder to the wp-content/plugins folder

ok - this has been done- FTP you can upload the unzipped folder to the wp-content/plugins folderIt hasn't been picked up as an installed theme.

Is there anything else I should try? I tried unzipping and similarly no change..

Can I get a more response?

The first step is to install the Free Theme - go to Appearance > Themes, search for GeneratePress and Install and activate.
The second step is to go to Plugins and install the GP Premium zip file you downloaded.
