Hey

Is it possible to change the background colour of the whole width of the page when using Gutenberg and using the "contained" setting? As I don't want my content to be 100% width of the page but I want the background colour to be.

What is the best way to do this and still use Gutenberg? I know this is relatively easy to do using GP sections but I would rather use Gutenberg if possible.

Hi there,

Not possible with default Gutenberg currently unfortunately.

This will be possible with our upcoming block plugin :)

If you need to get this done soon, check out a block plugin like Kadence block or Stackable.

Ah ok, interesting though that you are developing one.

I may hold out using a 3rd party if yours will be soon-ish. Any rough idea on ETA, eg will it be this year?

Matt

It will be a separate plugin so technically it’s a third party plugin as well.

Hopefully this year :)

We be concentrating on GP 2.4 and GPP 1.9.

Ha yeah - very true sorry, more meant as it’ll be created by yourselves, so will integrate well with GP (well I would imagine).

Definitely :)

It will work with any themes.
