GPP/ Page hero/ rotation

Hi Leo,
I'd like to setup a page hero that rotates after say 8 seconds. The threat that comes closest to to this is the following: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/hero-image-rotates-per-pageview/
Ideally the hook does not only change the background image of the page hero, but rather switches between two different page heros.
Is this possible? If so, how would you go about this?

That's not possible unfortunately.
Have you considered using a slider plugin?

thanks for getting back. An additional plugin is always the very last option to consider ;-)
Two more questions:
1. Is it feasible to replace the "page-load" trigger by a timer based trigger?
2. How would you extend the rotation to include the background image and the headline?

It's possible but this will require you to remove the existing script (if there is one) and replace it with the new timer based trigger.
This requires JS scripting which is out of our scope, unfortunately.
2. How would you extend the rotation to include the background image and the headline?
Depending on how you want the rotation to look like, you can just directly target the whole .page-hero section.

It's best to get a dedicated developer for this. And flesh things out completely so it'll be a perfect fit to what you exactly want. :D
