I apologize if I am one of many, but I am very interested: is there a roadmap for the integration between GP and Gutenberg? What interests me the most: Tom had mentioned that he also wants to add his own blocks. Is there already a goal for that? I use Gutenberg a lot, but I just don’t have any additional blocks like Atomic or CoBlocks. But I’d rather not use additional plugins, if that’s what you’re planning.
My wish list:
Call To Action Block (a la https://atomicblocks.com/blocks/call-to-action-block/)
Inline Notice Block (a la https://atomicblocks.com/blocks/inline-notice-block/)
Click to Tweet Block (a la CoBlocks https://coblocks.com/)Is this planned in the near future (4.0 and the first RC will be out soon) or will it take many more months?

There isn’t a public roadmap currently.
I’m not sure if we’d add blocks like that into the theme, as they’re most likely better separated from the theme (in a plugin). I’m thinking blocks should be handled like shortcodes are currently, and shortcodes definitely shouldn’t be in a theme.
However, in some cases, it will make sense to have blocks in the theme. That’s what we’re working on π

There is the GP Premium Plugin, which unlocks the Premium modules. This could be used to integrate a collection of blocks. An additional incentive to buy the premium module…so I would find that an exciting thing.
Anyway: I hear a positive reaction from your answer and that sounds like something π
If we can do something as a community: I will be happy to make myself available (suggestions, ideas, etc…).

Thanks!

GP is the best theme out there. I found all gutenberg blocks plugin have poor performance and definitely CTA, notice and some other minimal blocks should be in a plugin or module in GP.
I can contribute if you plan this.

a separate Blocks Plugin is in development – no definitive date but we’re hoping a pre-alpha will be available soon.
It will be a small collection of blocks that will allow you to create any type of content instead of wasteful dedicated single function blocks like price tables or info boxes.
