Google Analytics and Elements

Hi Support
If you add the Google Analytics code using GP Elements (using add hook function to show in wphead) and it says the following "Unable to execute PHP as DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT is defined."
Does that mean it is not going to track my website with google analytics?
Is there any other option that one can use to add Google Analytics tracking code in GP elements without getting this message "Unable to execute PHP as DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT is defined." or should I just use a plugin for this?
Hi there,
the GA code is javascript so you shouldn't need to check the PHP requirement. Add it and then inspect the front end of the Site using right click inspect, then look at the DOM ( HTML ) in the <head> tags and you will be able to ( or not ) see the GA script
I see script near the top and middle relating to GA script, so will wait for now and let you know by tomorrow, how it is going? thanks David for that top info.
Yes, may take a little while for google to 'do something'.
Glad to be of help.
