Glossary Plugins do not work properly

I've tried a couple glossary plugins and I always get the same issue: the archive/index page generated by the plugin /glossary never shows up on the front end. I always redirects me to the homepage of my site. The individual term pages of the glossary work fine. I've deactivated each of my other plugins one at a time and they aren't the problem. I am wondering if you know if generatepress conflicts with the function of these glossary plugins? WP Glossary, CM Tooltip

Ive contacted plugin developers but they tell me to flush my permalink settings and resave. Done that and it did nothing.
