Global Fonts and Sizes ... How to?
6 replies · Started by Steve Haines on January 11, 2019
Hi Guys
This may sound like a question that I should have been able to answer for myself?
However I'm a non techy, and I'v tried everything and can't fathom it out?
I would love your support with this if you wouldn't mind.
I have got the sizes of my font on the home page just how i wan't it to look.
H1 H2 H3 colours and sizes etc and the font I like too and the weight.
The Home page is all good! Yehhhh
Is there a way to translate this Globally onto the other existing pages and posts?
Without customizing Everyone individually?
Warmest Regards
Steve
Hi there,
if you have added content directly to the other page just using the normal headings H2, H3, H4 etc then they would update across the entire site. How have you added the headings that are not updating?
Hi David
Many thanks for your reply.
I have existing pages and posts that have existed for several years.
All thos were edited with the classic editor in wordpress.
The Home page was edited by me using the GP Customizer
I'm happy with the sizings etc and I just wondered if the settings could be applied to the existing pages and posts without having to go over each one individually?
Also .... Even when I type into the Home Page that I'm happy with .... The font reverts back to the wordpress Gorgia Font and I have to keep highlighting it and setting it to Verdana.
Sorry for pestering you with my inabilities again David.
I know you are patient with me and this is possibly outside your remit too.
Thanks for your continued support.
Warmest regards
Steve
So if you add a new Heading H2 to a page how does that display?
Your old content has included a lot of inline styles which includes setting the font and colors. So these would unfortunately need to be manually replaced. I assume this is how the old theme did things.
Hi David
Aaaah yes ....
The old theme.
I'll manually do each.
Thank you very much for your time anyway.
Always a pleasure.
Have a great weekend David.
Warmest regards
Steve
Glad to be of help :)
Thank you David.
