Gregor
I discovered a colour I had created had the wrong CSS variable name and edited it. Following the update I discovered that all custom colours in my site had become broken. When checking inside the Global Colours Customiser I discovered the majority of my global colour names had changed automatically.
E.g. A colour that had been named ’00a5e0′ had automatically changed to ’00-a-5-e-0′. There appears no way to revert it back. Even if I try to give it a totally new name like ‘blue-00a5e0’ it will disregard this and rename it ‘blue-00-a-5-e-0’.
I have over a month invested in this site and need to go live and most elements on the site have now lost their colour with no way to revert it.

Hi Gregor,
Can you try disabling non-GP plugins temporarily, and then try creating or editing a Global Color? It would be good to take a backup of your site before doing so.
If that doesn’t work, for reference, can you provide admin login credentials so we can take a closer look at the issue?

We disabled all plugins and it did nothing.
We have also been sure to clear all caches (including those on hosting).
We have also tried multiple browsers, computers and users.
We are almost entirely sure this is due to the new update:

StaffCustomer SupportApologies we did make a change to the
kebab-casefunctioning, which identifies numbers as separate words. We will release a new patch asap to correct that.November 22, 2022 at 12:54 pm #2427893Tom

We just released 3.2.4 which will allow you to change your variable names back to what they were.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks. All working perfectly now.
We all had a slight panic attack last night as we built multiple sites using those same naming principles.
It would be great if there was a simple switch to nominate using the same CSS name as the hex colour (or even RGB values). All our designers create assets for clients using a colour palette that uses the hex and RGB as the swatch name because it assists developers when coding.
Prior to GP adding the colour palette functionality we had created our own plugin that did exactly that.
