This is a wild one. It has come to our attention that when you go to our site the shopping cart icon in the top menu bar is showing an amount of $69 when there should be nothing. If you go to the cart, there is nothing in it, and if you add a product it only displays the correct current product price and the $69 disappears.
please help.

StaffCustomer SupportHi there
that is very bizarre.
Did you add any “Automatically added to cart products”?The other thing to try is disabling plugins to see if there is a conflict.
let me know.

no we didn’t add any auto products and if you go to the cart page there is nothing listed. We have tried disabling as many plugins as possible and all plugins that have any recent changes but nothing removes this from the cart.
We need some kind of a fix or temporary fix to either remove the $69 number or remove the cart icon altogether from the top menu bar.
There must be a way to track what is generating the number and placing it in the cart icon. It’s not actually in the woo commerce shopping cart, it’s just a figure being placed in the CSS code for the menu bar as far as we can tell.

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperDo you have any caching plugins or server caching? It’s possible that the plugin/caching isn’t compatible with WooCommerce, and has that amount cached.
You can disable the menu item in “Customize > Layout > WooCommerce”.

We have used Rocket caching for about two years with no issues. We have cleared the caching repeatedly and we also go in regularly to make sure it’s all up to date.
Having said that we just decided to deactivate the WP Rocket plugin completely and wala…. no more $69.00 in the cart. and we just re activated it and it is still gone.
I have no idea why that worked, but thank you for the lead.:)
When in doubt, don’t just clear the cache, remove that cache to remove the “cash”
